အျမစ္ႏုထိပ္ပိုင္း

Young root tip (အျမစ္ႏုထိပ္ပိုင္း) : axis of the plant which grows in the opposite direction from the stem, maintain the plant in place and absorbs nutrients.

Surface (အျမစ္အျပင္မ်က္ႏွာျပင္) : view of the external part of a root.

Longitudinal section (အလ်ားလိုက္ျဖတ္ပိုင္း) : cut through the length of the root.

Root hair zone (အျမစ္ေမြးနယ္) : part of the root on which are located the root hairs that absorbs water and nutrients.

Elongation zone (အျမစ္ႀကီးထြားနယ္) : set of cells that determine the growth of the root. 

Apical meristem (အျမစ္ဆဲလ္ပြားနယ္) : tissue at the top of the root composed of rapidly multiplying cells.

Root cap (အျမစ္ထိပ္အုပ္) : envelope that protects the young root.
